2000 --- FSU lost to Miami but played over Miami
2001 --- Nebraska (a non-conference finalist) over Oregon
2003 --- the #1 team in the nation didn't play
2004 --- 3 unbeatens (1 of which got obliterated)
2007 --- so many 2 loss teams, who the hell knows
2008 --- complete round-robin in the Big 12 between three teams.
That's 6 and arguably more could be found (2006 - Mich - Florida) out of 13 years.
