Fair enough, but I don't think pretending to enjoy playing Danzig at a higher volume than usual is either.

For the purposes of this thread, defining 'fake' as pretending to enjoy something a little more than you actually do = not too unhealthy and often effective at landing a SO.
But yes, fundamental character misrepresentation (say, if I'd pretended to be a democrat or what have you) = never a good idea, certainly not in the long-term.
