well, you could say the same thing for a $50 Ruth's Chris steak vs a mcdonalds cheeseburger. But, somethings just are that much better. -- nm

It honestly bothers me to buy a steak at a steakhouse.

I am not kidding, I've only gone to a steakhouse twice in the past 5 yeras, and once was for a bachelors party and once was cause we got a GC as a present.
I can cook steak at home for 1/10 the price!
Responses:
I rarely do as well, but that's because I get steaks from the farm.

you can cook steak at home for 1/10 the price, but the really good steak houses get amazing cuts that you still would pay a fortune for at a butcher,

Don't get me wrong, like I said, I understand the dynamic. But the fact that it's a beverage just *feels* bizarre to me.

I feel the same way as you do about most steakhouses - that I can make them at home. But I can't blend scotch, or age port 40 years. -- nm

I'm doing my best to hang onto the Macallan 18 that Diva got me a few years ago.

Pretty sure that's because Ruth's Chris literally cooks it in butter.
