beyond, wanting to give us some fantastic shots.
He never really sat down, so he worked pretty much from 1pm to 7pm or so.
Will and I would like to buy him something to say 'thank you' since he did this free of charge - but what is an appropriate gift? As much as I hate gift cards - I am considering buying him an Amazon gift card and writing a note inside the card telling him that we wanted to buy him something photography related but weren't sure what, so he could use that for whatever equipment he needs/wants...is that not a good idea? Can anyone suggest anything instead?
(Note: he lives in CA so something like "ship him some booze" probably won't work.)
Thanks!

my friend got me a nice bottle of whisky for basically the same thing, but since that's off the books I'd need to know more about him.

If I were your uncle, I would be pleased that I could choose my own purchase.
