I convinced him to stay and tough it out I think. He never responded but hasn't left like he said so I think he's been trying but...I think he's gone which is fine.

Your post very much put into focus some things for me. It's not about climbing the ranks anymore. That takes too much work and really isn't the point.

If we lose some people who don't want to fit in, no sense chasing them down.
