My daughter was talking about "the r word" one day. Took me awhile to figure out what she meant.

Her school was doing a program on it and how it isn't appropriate.

But, by the same token, I have zero issue with it in pop culture. It's not language I use. I don't use gay in the way the film does, I *never* use the "n" word. I loathe even reading it. But all of it is part of the real world and to say media has to avoid it (context be damned) is a little silly. IMO.

There are certainly places where media should avoid it, but I don't think a Vince Vaughn movie is one of them.
