Are you talking about going out as in "clubbing" or going out as in upscale restaurants, the ballet, the opera, etc?

For the first, I'm into the "regular guy" look so American Eagle, Eddie Bauer, Nautica are what appeals to me. The clothes are mostly updated classics. For dressier stuff like the latter, you really can't go wrong with Men's Warehouse. They consult with you, try to stay within your budget, and do free tailoring.
