it's about 95% random. it starts random but if, say, trish and crash got each other, well, i changed it. or, back in the day when we had several

different people with on-board nemeseseseseseses (nemesii?), i would split those up if by chance they got each other.
last year was 100% random. want to know how i did it? I took the list direct from the sign up, and each person bought for the person directly beneath them in the list. (not alphabetical - order you signed up.)
