Caan was talking to the doctor about how he hurt his leg and all the crazy shit the lead does ("he drove onto a Chinese freighter...with me in the car!"). Total wink to the audience IMO.

They need to cut down on the 2 guys with pistols and 1 with a shotgun versus 12 with automatic weapons...not a scratch on the good guys and the bad guys are all toast. That is A-Team level right there...
