Who's to say that their ideas and site wouldn't have evolved in a similar manner. Practically speaking I don't think it would have. Zuckerberg had a sense for the hook that they didn't display (but again, they weren't given the chance). I don't know that Zuckerberg gets there without Parker seeing some of these things as well. Interestingly, the most sympathetic character in the movie (Eduardo) I think really added the least to the development of the site, but he did provide the seed money. There are lots of people who can make the "but for" argument. "But for (insert name)'s contribution, Facebook would never have happened".
