I spent an hour yesterday trying to get that stupid achievement in Halo Reach where you survive a fall by assassinating an elite

The first time I landed on the elite, I got so excited I hit x instead of my melee button. Twice I mistimed the hit and just bounced on the elite and he popped up and hit me. Too many times to count I hit the ground a foot to the left, right, or in front of the elite and just became a splat on the ground.

I finally thought I had it timed right and I got a little ninja star medal for killing from a hit to the behind rather than an assassination. I gave up at that point and moved on.

I did this as part of my legendary campaign. I'm wondering if it would be easier to accomplish if I used a lower difficulty setting, it might not since it seems to be all precise timing though.
