The 16-hour thing is really misleading.

They only way any pilot is flying "without a break" for 16 hours is if they are flying from the US to India, Hong Kong, Australia, etc.
And, even in that case, though they don't get an on-the-ground break, they most certainly get breaks.
If you don't like it, pilot, don't bid for the long-haul flight.
(I believe pilots have some valid gripes, like any job does, but I'm tired of overpaid pilots whining about every little damn thing)
