i would totally dispute that little big planet is designed for the "casual gamer"....

the floaty controls actually make it sort of difficult at times and the level editor tools that are there to design your own levels are miles and miles away from the sort of "pick up and mess around for a half hour" thing that is the hallmark of casual games.
i also don't think you can convince me that a game that falls off the charts in its second month and is in the sub-150k zone during the peak time of sales is somehow going to be a long term winner. i'd love to be wrong because i think media molecule made a great game, but i don't buy it especially since it looks like ps3 sales will remain fairly lame going forward.

It's the first game that I've seen that has made me want a PS3, that's for sure. I'm pretty sure I fall into the "casual gamer" category. -- nm
