That's a fair comment, and like I hinted at in my first post, I completely disagree about granting the honour on him at this time (if ever).

This was 100% a university president sucking up to the cabinet minister who controls the purse strings for many of the president's ambitious projects.
Were this pol already retired, I would highly doubt that he would have received the honour.
