you do realize that if all the doctors make all the money they used to make, then the cost of healthcare never drops, right?

savings need to actually be saved somewhere.

You do realize that doctor's pay is not where the cost is. It is all the test/imaging and everything else.

The Mayo Clinic simply has its doctors on salary -- they don't get paid for individual procedures. Seems to work fairly well. -- nm

Oh, don't get me wrong, there's plenty of ways to do it effectively and its a complex issue.
