are you training for a tri or just getting in shape? if former then eventaully you'll need a coach, if just getting in shape then over kicking won't

matter, it'll give your efforts focus, sorta like that old theory of giving an overactive kid ritalin to make them focus their energy instead of just figiting

the only draw back is if in a short pool you'll have to turn a lot more often per work out
