from what Brenda said, they were concerned that they'd have a pissed off Kelly B who would flip on them, and once they pissed her off, they might as well let her go because she was lost anyway. but i think that is flawed overthinking: she doesn't have the idol, and if they get marty, kelly b doesn't give them numbers. i think that was their rationale, even though its flawed.
