it took 33 days to drill down to them; they were brought up to the surface on 10/13/10 which = 33.

Haven't verified this yet, but it's pretty neat. There's also a reference to Jesus who was 33 years old when died and "was with them the whole time" but that's for the religeous fanatics. ;-)
