What's the semi-translucent, kind of pinkish fluid that "weeps" from a wound after it stops bleeding (and hasn't scabbed)? nmbgross

I stubbed my big toe fiercely on a concrete sidewalk Monday morning. It cracked the nail and discolored the nail plate.

This morning, I stubbed the same nail on a couch and it "popped". Blood everywhere. It's been leaking all day. I finally took a rubberband and wrapped a napkin around the toe, there's no way a bandaid is going to absorb the fluid.

Gross.
