Naysay all you like. You know in your heart of hearts that Sandy Alderson almost instantly makes the Mets 10x more respectable.

Whether that leads to wins on the field or not, it's absolutely refreshing to know that the head of the org is almost universally like, respected and has a strong record of implementing a cohesive vision throughout an organization.
It's such a refreshing change from the shotgun random approach of the Minaya regime.
