relationship that had turned towards friendship when he had come to some realizations about himself, he felt that he was treated badly that she hadn't told him about the relationship herself. Again, I just think it would have been treating him respectfully to tell him in the first place and he may have felt that the treatment he got indicated that she wasn't serious about a friendly relationship. It's not a huge stretch to see from his point of view.
