He clearly doesn't care about gays though, he's sad he got caught.

He keeps saying that he used the wrong words and went over the top. What words would have been right to convey his hateful sentiments? He's just a bigot who's embarrassed that he got caught.
This is what I got out of it: I didn't mean to say faggots deserve to die, I should've said gay men deserve to die. My bad.
