So I'd personally go for that. Then again, if she wears something sentimental on either her wrist or around her neck, you might not want to interfere with that. Not that your gift won't be sentimental - it certainly will be - but it'd stink for her to have to choose from one day to the next.
Whatever you decide, I'm sure she'll love it. Good luck!
