Cable doesn't have to die. It just needs to do what Google TV does and make it easier to find and watch content on one's own schedule.

I don't have a TiVo because my cable DVR does everything I need to do. I only need Google TV if it gives me something cable doesn't. Right now it does. Next year it may not.
Google has recognized and filled a need. Cable will follow along and do the same eventually.
