I really don't want to sound snide, but that's a ridiculously subjective view on the man.

Yes, all politicians have ego - by nature those of us wanting to get elected believe we can do better than others - but it is well documented that Obama has carried himself in a pompous manner with a lot of regularity in his actions and choices and whom he considers a true peer.
The simpliest metaphor on that is this: That a man with his limited political experience and no governing experience felt he was the best choice for President. It sounds simplistic, but do you believe that the majority of pols would make the same choice there?
