Sure they aren't.

You have to think very highly of your own abilities to believe you are capable and deserving of leading the country.
Hell, Obama didn't really live that extraordinary of a life prior to his Presidential run - save for one gang buster of a speech at the 2004 convention - and he wrote not one, but two memoirs. Now, I don't look down upon him for doing that, but it doesn't suggest someone who considers himself a man of the people either, right?
