I think Robert Forester's mind games got to him. He explained to him power and becoming the president and all that crap in some badly scripted episode this season and it stuck to his head that he could have the power over all of them.
And watch it'll take some like micah to stop him in another badly scripted future episode.
You have no idea how pissed I am that Suresh is still alive.
