If you consider that many pop concerts are merely lipsyncing to a studio sound track, and most vegas shows have the orchestra hidden in the basement..

and the sound piped up, if the hologram looks convincing it would be hard to tell its not the same experience as live, most of the concert experience is the communal groove of a room full of people bopping together. that's why a good comedy in a theatre full of people gets more laughs than watching at home
