I use a program called "PDFill", their free tools include the ability to merge multiple PDFs. -- nm

using a mac, you drag pages from the sidebar of one into the sidebar of the other. on windows, you can't do it with freeware, I think.

pdf itself is an open standard (since 2008) but complex manipulation still (for the most part) requires paid software -- nm
