I know people have said this to you, but if she had those feelings for you, someone else will again too. Next time it'll be someone more available, more open and more caring.
Just because you haven't had much success dating in the past ten years doesn't mean you won't in the future. It's a slow journey to get your confidence back (or get some for the first time), but it makes all the difference.
