We had an AWESOME birthday party for my son on Saturday.

We dodged most of the bad weather. The first sprinkling of snow was Friday night but it hardly stuck and it was mostly raining on Saturday.

On campus (where both my wife and I work), they have these kids activities. They run a whole camp in the summer. In the off months, they do weekend camps and activities. One thing they do is birthday parties. In our case, we picked a gymnastics themed party. They had a room for the party and they did some decorating like balloons, etc. When all the kids arrived, we went to the gym where the group of kids (ages 4 and 5) were taken through a series of tumbling routines. They had the time of their lives. Afterward, we returned to the room where we had cake and snacks and went home. 7 kids from my son's class showed up (out of a group of 16) and two smaller siblings and all got to participate and they all had a great time. I'll bet you that more than one of them has their party here next year.
