I think both. I think that in being trailblazers with the legal mp3 sale thing, they signed deals that in today's view are very pro-label.

I also think they continue to destroy Amazon on volume without discounting a damn thing, so their market pressure to slash prices is probably pretty low.
There were stories posted here about Apple trying to pressure labels into not participating in Amazon's daily deals. It clearly hasn't worked that well.
