...Halliday to be traded with the team going into an an obvious "wait and wait some more" phase this year and next. If CC and Roy both were on the market, there's no doubt that Halliday would command the record, not CC. He's got plenty of value to lots of teams and the Jays need time for young pitchers and young hitters and trading the ace for some veteren and prospect filler would likely make the most sense.

I'll miss him if he goes though. Exactly what you want for your ace. To a tee.

(And Rios would be a good move as it opens up a spot for another OF bat so that Lind and Synder both get field time.)
