It's a way to add a small tax to something already cheap and sold en masse. And, if it makes a few people skip a soda now and again all the better. -- nm

You know what I'm in favour of? Linking state governors' pay to their ability to bring in a balanced budget. 15.4 Billion hole? Heads need to roll. -- nm

Enacting a 1% difference in medical trend takes a lot more than a mild financial incentive to not drink sodapop.
