My dude's sister Allison died earlier this year. She and her boyfriend Chris (who became her husband a year or two before her death) lived in a house in rural Indiana; but the house now belongs to Allison's daughter. (Chris's name was never on the title.)
Chris has stayed in the house, renting it from the daughter. Chris must be around 50. He's a nice guy.
Two other people moved into the house after Allison's death, because it has a mother-in-law apartment. They're Jeremy, Chris's nephew, and his girlfriend Dana. They're in their early 30s, I think. They're also very nice people.
They all got along great, and the dude and I have visited them frequently. They host musical get-togethers at the house. (My dude plays guitar and sings, as do Chris and Jeremy. Dana plays keyboard and sings a little; I've taken the uke and strummed along.)
We just found out today that Dana "hooked up" with Chris, Jeremy's uncle. Jeremy was so mad he apparently has destroyed some or all of the instruments. (Possibly drunk at the time.) I haven't confirmed whether that includes Dana's full-size keyboard. I'm not sure how you go about destroying a keyboard. (He could have thrown it in the pond, but Dana's words in an email were "he smashed all the instruments.")
