our programmers have just crossed over into new territory when that phrase gets me the response, "we'll look at it sometime in January when we get a minute."

"patient care critical" is the Big Red Shiny Emergency Button where we work. No one hits it often and everyone understands it's serious. The programmers just blew it off.

That's not good.
