I suspect Sash has a crush on Chase. That would explain a lot of what happened there.
Sash's stammering as he lies is one of those tells that is so overt that you almost wonder if he's pulling a Keyser Soze...only he's not. He thinks he's a master manipulator. That's the funniest part of all of it.
