That, to me, would mean they would want to hire writers, lawyers, legal scholars, paralegals, legal researchers, former lawmakers. Even a former

lobbyist seems okay. But if they're currently registered as lobbyists, why should they be allowed to have access to lawmakers that other lobbyists don't? To say nothing of the lawmaker's constituents.
