I am trying to find whether domestic partnerships need to be registered in MD.

(The Affidavit of Domestic Partnership that we will have to sign in order for me to pick up Will's benefits requires that "We have registered our domestic partnership with a governmental body that allows for registration of domestic partnerships in the State of _____." I can't seem to find whether MD is one of those states that requires it.)
