I missed the last step on the stairs this morning and spent the last hour in Urgent Care.

Nothing broken, but it's not a twisted ankle. I've twisted my ankle before. This was above the ankle. The bone bent in a way *I KNOW* bones are not supposed to bend. The doctor said she could see some tissue swelling in the x-ray even though the x-ray isn't very good for detecting tissue damage. I probably tore something in my leg, but it doesn't look like a fracture. It hurts like a bitch, even though my body is swimming in Advil right now.
I was carrying my little girl when I fell, which prevented me from reaching out and grabbing something. She's OK.
So far, I haven't done a full 8 hours of work this week yet, and given the forecast for the rest of the week, I won't be doing 8 hours until something next Thursday or Friday.
No sympathy, please. But feel free to mock me.

I've missed the second to last step but luckily there were walls on both sides so I slid down the walls. Feel better soon. -- nm
