In response to "local weather poll...winter storm warning in effect until 6 am. snow all night, 3-6" more due. most major freeways heading out of LV, closed." by black peter

Winter storm warning in effect until 10am Thursday, rain and snow mix right now, turning to ice and snow tonight.

Low of 23 deg. F. High of 32 deg. F tomorrow. Continued cold all the way through Monday, with another snowstorm hitting us on Saturday night and Sunday.

Here's is the brutal NWS text for those who are interested.

..VERY COLD...WINTRY...AND OCCASIONALLY WINDY PATTERN LIKELY TO
CONTINUE ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST OREGON
THROUGH THE WEEKEND...

AN UNUSUAL UPPER LEVEL FLOW PATTERN WILL CONTINUE TO CHANNEL
ARCTIC AIR FROM NORTHERN CANADA INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST THROUGH
THIS WEEKEND. AS THE NEXT BATCH OF ARCTIC AIR SETTLES IN ACROSS THE
REGION LATER THIS WEEK...LOW TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP
INTO THE TEENS ACROSS MANY INTERIOR VALLEYS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
NIGHTS. WIND SHELTERED PORTIONS OF OUTLYING VALLEYS MAY ONCE AGAIN
FALL INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS EITHER OF THESE NIGHTS.

THE COLD AIR WILL BE FIRMLY ENTRENCHED ACROSS SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON
AND NORTHWEST OREGON AS YET ANOTHER MOIST FRONTAL SYSTEM APPROACHES
THE DISTRICT SATURDAY NIGHT. STRONG EAST WINDS ARE LIKELY TO
DEVELOP THROUGH THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE AND OVER THE CASCADE
PASSES AS THE FRONT APPROACHES...RECHARGING THE COLD AIR ACROSS
THE INLAND VALLEYS. AS A RESULT...THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR YET
ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT...WINDY WINTER STORM TO IMPACT MUCH OF THE
DISTRICT LATE IN THE WEEKEND.

THE PRECISE LOCATION OF THE FRONTS AND LOWS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS
STORM ARE UNCERTAIN. THESE IMPORTANT DETAILS WILL DETERMINE IF
THE EVENT WILL RESULT IN HEAVY LOW ELEVATION AND MOUNTAIN
SNOW...STRONG WINDS...FREEZING RAIN OR A COMBINATION OF THESE
WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS.
