I see them all the time. In a way, I sort of resent them because pregnancy isn't an "illness", it's a condition. But, otoh I can totally see where it

would attract pregnant women, especially one with one or more other kidlets with her. Plus, just like disabilities, you don't know what's going on "inside" of her. She might be developing high blood pressure or something and has been advised to walk as little as possible. *shrug* I think in the long run it's just a common courtesy, like someone giving up their seat on a subway or bus. It's good.
