I tried homemade sushi in 7th grade in Social Studies class during some Food of the Nations thing. After that, about 10 years ago.

the homemade one was soooooo seaweed-y it was horrible (and I was in 7th grade). My uncle brought some to my grandmother's house while we were there and I tried it (unagi). It was really good, and I've been eating it ever since.
