As a business they have the right to dictate what they will and won't sell. The part I'd take issue with is removing content already purchased, but

Now, whether Amazon did have a "glitch" or re-thought removing content from Kindles, I don't know. At this point, though, any content that was unavailable is available now to those who had purchased it.
If Amazon was a monopoly on ebook sales, I'd be concerned about their content guidelines, but they aren't, so I'm not.
