Yeah, he's way overthinking it and I think it's because he's scared. Also, he should get some grief counseling. It's been 7 years.

I'm all for his honoring his wife's legacy, but there comes a time when he needs to let it go. Somebody needs to help him understand that it's very doubtful that his first wife would want him to spend the rest of his life alone and lonely. Finally, he just has to realize he's not dissing his dead wife and that there are a lot of chicks who dig older men.
