My aunt on my Father's side decided one day she didn't like my Grandmother. She called her controlling and many other evil things apparently (I was too young). The family was horrified and dismayed. My Grandmother was a lovely, kind, caring, strong person. She was no of the things my aunt accused her of.

My aunt took herself, her husband and my young cousins out of the family and never returned. It baffled us for years and drove a dagger into one of the best people I've ever known.

I'll never understand it but you learn to accept it and move on.
