My Sister in Law adopted their daughter from friends that lived in the same small town.

She knew she was adopted and even ran into her bio parents at the store. They had other children that were her bio brothers and sisters.
It was weird at first for me to hear that stuff. But after seeing the family unit of both families it really was very normal.
