I understand the rule, but a championship ring can't be sold? That seems pretty damn silly given those have to be earned and don't come easy.
I can understand the gold pants, nothing would stop the university from giving students any number of things as analogs for cash if you could sell them.
But a ring? Or a player award from an outside organization? That seems needlessly strict.
