so i got a christmas "gift" from my boss, $100 cash. the card says merry christmas, and say the gift is from him (not the company).

but on the back of the card is a note that my next paycheck will have additional taxes taken from it to cover the taxes of this $100 (he wrote "around $30 in additional taxes").
