Tom's blog indicates that what should have happened is that when the judges asked, "Whose dish is up?", Jamie's team should have just yelled "Jamie." From that moment on, it would have been a foregone conclusion who was going home. I too like Jamie and was always impressed by her work ethic on her season as well as her ability to evade confrontation. Everyone liked her and she simply ignored people when they baited her. Even Stefan had a crush on her and he doesn't even like himself, much less other people.

And you're absolutely right about Carla's finger. Kim made the point that Fabio's dish may have been slightly better yet the judges rewarded Carla for playing through the pain. Reading Tom's blog, I don't believe that is the cause but I absolutely believe she earned the respect of her peers by handling the situation so professionally.
